Send SMS messages through Ledenbeheer

Send urgent messages to your members by SMS.

Enable SMS

Enable SMS under Settings > Billing > Licence.

SMS messages are sent through an external SMS provider, not from your own mobile number. Members cannot reply to them.

Send an SMS

Go to Communication > New message and select SMS or Email and SMS.

Sending SMS messages follows the same steps as sending an email.
In step 4, when you confirm the recipients, you will also see the cost.

Send an SMS when a class is cancelled

Cancelled classes are inconvenient, but Ledenbeheer lets you notify all enrolled members immediately by email and SMS.

Go to Course offerings or Extra activities and select Cancel.

You can cancel a class and notify all members in one action.
Notifications are sent by email by default. Select the SMS option to send a text message too.

When cancelling, you will see a preview of the default message and can edit it.

Send an SMS with payment reminders

Under Settings > Communication > SMS, you can choose to send an SMS with payment reminders.

Things to know about SMS

The message subject is for your own reference; it is not included in the SMS.
You cannot send attachments by SMS.
SMS messages are always plain text.

Do not use a URL shortener. Shortened links are not allowed in SMS messages under transparency rules.
