Segment contacts

A segment is a group of members. In Ledenbeheer, you can create manual groups and automatic groups based on different criteria.

Create groups

Ledenbeheer automatically groups members by the activities they have joined. You can also create your own groups. To create one quickly, click New group in the contact menu.

Manual groups

You add members to a manual group yourself.

After creating a group, you can add members manually.

1. Click New group and enter a name.

2. Choose Set criteria later.

3. Then click a row in your contact list (or its arrow).

4. Click the Groups field and select the group for this person.

Automatic groups

To create a group quickly, click New group in the contact menu.

To set up an automatic group, specify a field, comparison and search term.
​After selecting a field, choose the comparison and then enter a search term.

Field: Age
Comparison: greater than
Search term: 18

You can combine criteria, for example to group members who are older than 18 and live in Koekelare. When you combine criteria, Ledenbeheer selects members who meet all criteria.

Click Apply and save settings.
Your new segment now appears under Contacts, above the New group buttons.

Examples of automatic groups

List members who have not re-enrolled for the coming sports year.

Ledenbeheer now finds members who enrolled in courses in 2022–2023 but not in courses for the 2023–2024 sports year.

Members enrolled in a course but not an activity.

Use this list to email only members who attend weekly classes, excluding those who only attend camps.
