Duplicate members
Find and merge duplicate member accounts.

A duplicate contact is a member with multiple Ledenbeheer accounts, each with a different email address.
How do duplicate accounts arise?
Separated parents
We see most duplicate accounts among separated parents. One parent uses their account to enrol a child in a course, while the other uses another account to enrol the same child in a different course or activity at your organisation.
They often do this deliberately: only the account that holds the enrolment can download the health insurance certificate and claim reimbursement from the health insurer for sports camps or weekly sports classes.
Multiple email addresses
People sometimes forget which email address they used for their first enrolment and create a new account with another address.
A child is old enough for their own account
A teenager who was 15 last year used a parent's account under GDPR rules. Once they turn 16, they can create their own account.
Merge duplicate accounts
Do not do this without informing the member. One account will be deleted, which can cause problems for separated parents.
Go to Contacts > Duplicate contacts to see potential duplicate accounts in your club.
You can merge two or more duplicate accounts. After the merge, only the account you keep can sign in to the platform.
List of potential duplicate contacts
This list shows potential duplicates identified by our algorithm. They are only potential matches: twins or people with the same name can also appear here.
You have two options for each match:
Ignore: Choose this when the contacts are not duplicates.
Manage merge: Choose this when they are duplicate contacts.
Manage the merge
Step 1: Select the details you want to keep.
Step 2: Select the account that should receive the selected details.
Select all courses and activities so that all enrolments end up on the same account.
Any contact details you do not move to the other account will be deleted.
You can delete the account you no longer want to use if it has no remaining enrolments, session pass reservations or pending invitations. If it still has any of these, you cannot delete it.
