5. Set Up Club Roles

Create clear roles and keep them separate from legal statuses.

A role describes what someone does for the club, such as Dance teacher, Assistant dance teacher, Trainer, Board member or Volunteer.

Create roles

  1. Open Club settings.

  2. Choose the roles card.

  3. Create only roles the club actually uses.

  4. Give each role a short, recognisable name.

  5. Use a separate role when the duties, rate or responsibility differ.

A role is not a legal status

A dance teacher may be a volunteer, Article 17 worker, employee or freelancer. Link both the correct role and the correct legal status to every performance.
