DanceVault Marketplace: rent and lend costumes

The public costume Marketplace

The DanceVault Marketplace helps clubs earn income from costumes that would otherwise remain in storage and helps renters find suitable costumes without buying new ones. Anyone can browse the public catalogue without an account. Sign-in or registration is only required when submitting a rental request.

For renters

1. Open Marketplace → Browse or go directly to app.dancevault.be/marketplace.

2. Filter by category, size, colour, availability and price.

3. Open a listing and choose the rental period and required quantities.

4. Review rental price, security deposit, pickup or shipping and the complete cost before confirming.

5. Submit the request and pay securely online when offered by the owner.

6. Track approval, payment, handover and return under My rentals.

For owners: publish one costume

1. Save the costume in Inventory first.

2. Open the costume's Marketplace settings.

3. Set the rental price, maximum rental period, deposit, rental terms, pickup/shipping and automatic or manual approval.

4. Block dates when your own club needs the costume.

5. Review the preview and publish the listing.

DanceVault explains why a costume is not ready to publish, for example when a photo, stock quantity or required setting is missing.

Publish a full collection in bulk

Go to Inventory and choose Put my collection on the Marketplace. Select suitable costumes across multiple pages and apply one default rental price, rental terms and availability settings in bulk. AI can suggest categories, colours and sizes. Review the preview before publishing.

The Suitable for Marketplace inventory filter and progress counter show which costumes are ready and which details are still missing.

Payments and Mollie

Owners connect their own Mollie account under Settings → Marketplace. Complete onboarding before publishing listings. Online payments are processed through the connected club and DanceVault accounts for its platform fee through Mollie Connect.

Service fee

DanceVault charges the owner €0.20 per reserved costume piece. The complete amount is shown before confirmation. This service fee remains due and is not refunded when a booking is cancelled.

Trust and safety

• The owner defines the deposit, rental terms and rules for damage or late returns.

• The availability calendar shows when a listing can be rented.

• Renter and owner see every cost before confirmation.

• Verified clubs display a badge and average response time helps set expectations.

• Clubs can leave a review after a successful rental.

• Record handover and return in DanceVault and document any damage with photos.

Share your collection

Every public listing and club collection has a shareable link. Use it in newsletters, social media or your club's website. Visitors can browse the collection before creating an account.

Use it on your phone

The Marketplace is also available in the DanceVault app. Browse listings and start a rental request directly from the app.
